The Wellbeing Team consists of highly trained staff who are dedicated to supporting students throughout the school day. The team includes three Thrive practitioners, a Team Teach Tutor and a Looked After Child Mentor, and provides a variety of strategies to support students. Individual and group support is centred around Thrive. The support provided by the team encompasses Rebound Therapy, Hydrotherapy, class observations, individual mentoring, advice for school staff and parents, and specialist one-on-one intervention support with students.
The Wellbeing Room is a peaceful and supportive space that is always open to students. Some students visit the Wellbeing Room regularly as part of a structured support programme, while others access services according to their individual needs. Wellbeing Triage is a formal meeting held each week. This meeting enables key staff to prioritise the students who require the most assistance. Any member of staff can refer students to Triage. The Triage Team, which includes the Safeguarding Lead, School Nurse, and music therapist, has access to a range of interventions, including referrals to outside agencies.
