The Governing Body is an elected board of unpaid volunteers who give their time and skills to make sure that Regency High School is doing the very best it can to provide an appropriate education, based on qualifications and experiences, for all our pupils. The Governing Body also has responsibility for ensuring that the school provides a safe learning environment, oversight of the school’s finances, monitoring safeguarding and maintaining the site and buildings.
The Full Governing Body at Regency High School is made up of 13 Governors including the Headteacher, teaching and non-teaching staff and parents, as well as volunteers from the local community and Local Authority. There are 11 Trustees made up of Governors who are not staff members. The Governors operate a committee system with each committee meeting half termly and reporting back to the Full Governing Body. There are two committees – Curriculum and, Resources.
